Classic Car Addict is excited to present this 1968 Ford F100 long bed for sale in our Mesa, AZ showroom. This truck has the right “get to work” attitude, whether it's on the farm or hauling rocks, this Ford is ready for the job. The current F-series as we know it has been the bestselling truck for 39 consecutive years and for 34 of those years it was the best-selling vehicle overall in America. Believe it or not, it wasn't until 1959 that the original F-100 got factory four-wheel drive. And finally, the front bumper was the longest running unchanged component for the entire F-series from 1959-1979.
Long bed pickups already have a striking look. But as you take some time with this truck, you start to see some cool features. The paint is a 5 out of 10, but hey, we are calling this one the work horse. There are crystal clear headlights, and the toolbox in the bed. And have you noticed the upgraded rims? Consignor added BOSS rims to give her a little flash.
Inside is the same workman first impression. A newly upholstered black wide bench seat. But then you notice the tall shifter, sports steering wheel, and original gauges. There's even an upgraded Kenwood AM/FM/CD radio. It has a retro-style presentation so that this stays a bit of a sleeper... at least until you turn the key.
A quick starter, smooth idler, a tickle of the gas pedal and were off! This truck is nice, shifts smoothly, and is ready for a new owner. This V8 inhales deeply from a Holley four-barrel carburetor. And it exhales with authority through the dual exhaust. Not only does the setup sound great, but it's also built to be driven. That's why you have features like a three-speed automatic transmission, power steering, and upgraded front disc brakes.
