2004 Mini Cooper S Track Car
Classic Car Addict is proud to present this 2004 Mini Cooper S JCW track car for sale in our Mesa, Arizona showroom. The 2004 Mini Cooper S (R53) is considered an ideal platform for a budget track car due to its inherent go-kart-like handling, light weight, and robust supercharged engine. These characteristics, combined with a strong enthusiast community, make it a popular choice for modifications.
The car is finished in Chili Red with a white roof and features the MC40 package, which added chrome mirror housing and door handles as well vinyl decals on the hood, door, and quarter panel (these decals need to be replaced). Additional equipment includes xenon headlights, fog lights, rally-style driving lights, rear GB badging, black wheel arch flares and rocker panels (driver side rear wheel arch is gone), a roof spoiler, and twin center-exit exhaust outlets.
The 17” lime green Sparco wheels are mounted to Sumitomo HTR A/S PO2 tires 205/45R17 with date codes 2024. These wheels were a popular choice due to their lightweight design and direct fitment. MC40 equipment includes sports suspension and dynamic stability control. Stopping is provided with power disc brakes and Stoptech calipers. You have front McPherson strut and a multi-link rear suspension with a 2.74 axle.
The cabin features a racing bucket seat by Sparco in red with a five-point harness. The passenger seat features the same seat, but in black with a five-point harness. You have a carbon fiber dashboard trim with John Cooper Works badging and features a dash mounted firebottle racing fire suppression pull cable. A leather wrapped steering wheel frames a column mounted 8k-rpm tachometer, while a 150-mph speedometer with integrated fuel and temperature gauges are in the center of the dashboard. The digital odometer shows 73,200 miles. It does have AC; the wires have been cut. It has a manual flip up AM/FM/Bluetooth stereo.
The supercharged 1.6-liter inline-four was factory-rated at 163 horsepower and 155 lb-ft of torque. Power is sent to the front wheels through a Getrag six-speed manual transaxle. The Carfax report shows no accidents or other damage and lists registration history in Arizona.
