The Chevrolet Corvette is in its seventh generation, or C7, and still comes across young and hot as ever. The 2018 Corvette is in the fifth year of this generation, having been introduced for 2014. There have been steady small changes in the past five model years, but nothing significant from a mechanical standpoint. It's so dynamically perfect that it hasn't needed changes to keep up with anyone.
The interior is finished in two-toned black and gray leather on GT bucket seats. You have 8-way power seats, A/C with dual zone controls, power windows and power locks. With the 2LT package, you get memory seats, power bolster/lumbar, luggage shade and net, power outside mirrors (adjustable) with driver side auto dimming. Inside rearview mirror (auto dimming), heated and ventilated seats, seat badging, universal home remote, premium audio with surround (Chevrolet MYLINK, Apple CarPlay, and Android Auto), advanced theft deterrent, heads-up display, and XM radio. Our favorite is the performance data and video recorder with navigation.
The Corvette is finished in Watkins Glen Gray Metallic and features a removable carbon-fiber roof panel, a carbon-fiber hood, reversing and curb view cameras, heated mirrors, and a rear spoiler. The seller states a ceramic coating was applied to the front body. Additional upgrades are staggered-diameter Grand Sport machined-face lightweight aluminum wheels that roll on Michelin tires (front 285/30ZR18's and rear 335/25ZR20's). The Grand Sport performance package added an enhanced suspension, magnetic ride control, and slotted brake rotors.
The 6.2-liter V8 features dry-sump lubrication and was rated at 460 horsepower and 465 lb.-ft of torque when new. Power is sent to the rear wheels through a seven-speed manual transaxle (with active rev matching) and a limited-slip differential.
