The Ninth Generation Ford F-Series is a standout. While based on the basic design dating from for the 1980 model year these 4x4 trucks are not supposed to be this pristine. So that's why this 1996 Ford F-250 is a terrific example of the new class of vintage trucks that are still ready to get the job done today. We saw plenty of these F-Series trucks on the road over the last twenty-five years. The styling that mixed tough truck squareness and the rounded aerodynamic touches, really resonated with pickup people. The problem is that today, there are not too many of these iconic work trucks around that haven't seen a hard life and hundreds of thousands of miles. The F-250 was a workhorse, so the few that you do find are often extremely far from condition they left the showroom in... But this truck is the one diamond in the rough. The clean factory two-tone Blue Metallic and Oxford White paint is in absolutely outstanding condition. The pickup's preferred equipment PKG.613A packaging ensures it has all the right conveniences like speed control, AC, Power windows, locks and interior lighting upgrades. The inside is also like a refreshing time capsule. The Royal Blue cloth bucket seats shows almost no signs of wear. It has a center console that offers space for storage and cup holders. Since this is a range-topping model, the bucket seats are topped off with electronically adjusted lumbar back bolster for the driver and passenger. Plus, with the camper package, off-road package and the extended range of the dual fuel tanks, this one makes for an ideal long-haul with the camper in-tow. The back seat of this extended cab is perfect for everything from carrying extra passengers to secured storage. Another great part of a loaded truck like this is that it comes with just about everything power windows, power door locks, and the factory AM/FM cassette stereo. There are so many adapters out there for modern music players that we think it would be a shame to spoil this unique atmosphere by replacing this very original radio. And you have the rear sliding glass open to get the old-school truck breezes any time of year, because the modern R134a air condition will always keep the cab nice and cool. The massive 7.5-liter already has a reputation for being powerful and bulletproof. So when these have the ability of going to the moon and back, you realize that this is quite low mileage on this original motor. And the clean condition of the engine bay that still contains its original decals lets you know that this F-250 was never a mud slinger. But if you do go off-road this one is equipped just the way you'd want it. It has a two-speed 4x4 transfer case, tall ground clearance, auto-locking hubs, and enough torque to move a cabin. But even when you just stay on the pavement, this is an attractive package. Plus, with power steering and front disc brakes, this is a true anytime driver. Complete with original owner's manual, window sticker and sales invoice, you're looking at a truck that's original inside and out. But survivor-grade status does not keep this one from earning its keep. A cool package like this will not stay with us long. Call Classic Car Addict today!!!
